City of Macon City Council met March 9.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
Mayor Dunmire called the Macon City Council meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present were Attorney Scott Garwood, Treasurer Kimberly Reynolds, Clerk Kim Miller, Council Members Tom Long, Rocky Markham, Monte Holsapple, Caleb Beasley, also present were Kim Cook, Lewis Cook, Bryton Simms and Pam Windell.
The minutes of Feb 9th meeting were reviewed and approved as presented. Mayor Dunmire presented the police report.
Bryton Simms was present to inquire about assistance for TIF funds for fire apparatus. Mayor Dunmire informed him we need to hear from the board members.
Kim Cook was present to ask the council for Business District funds for an embroidery machine to help with their work needs. It was the consensus of the Council to have Moran Economic Development draft an agreement to be presented at the next meeting.
May 30th will be the 2nd Annual Macon Funday from 1-4 pm to be held at Walsh Park (by the library).
Alderman Long informed the council the front doors at the community center will need to be replaced. B&B Glass will be replacing the doors and frame and True Concrete will be replacing concrete under the threshold.
Water Supt Charlie Dunmire informed the council he has had to jet the sewer on Shaw Court several times and will have IRWA video the sewer line.
Attorney Garwood updated on ordinance violations.
Treasurer Reynolds presented the treasurer’s report.
A motion was made by Alderman Beasley, seconded by Alderman Long to approve the treasurer’s report as presented. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Alderman Beasley, seconded by Alderman Holsapple to pay the bills as presented. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Alderman Beasley, seconded by Alderman Holsapple to adjourn. Motion carried.
The City Council adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
