In total, residents paid $100,719 in sales taxes during May.

The county ranked 84th in the Prairie State the month before, with $106,212 spent in sales taxes.

The largest share of sales taxes paid by De Witt County residents in May came from the Countywide Sales Tax.

The Countywide Sales Tax, a crucial revenue stream, is primarily allocated for county governments’ use.
