FOIA Request to Farmer City City Council Regarding Council Members’ Details on October 15, 2024.

We at Macon Reporter, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, have sent a request under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140. The request was made for a list of all council members from the Farmer City City Council with specific details.

The information sought includes each council member’s name, title, year of appointment, term length (2 or 4 years), and term expiry date. This information is requested preferably in an electronic format.

As a media organization, we are involved in gathering and reporting news to the public. Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
