Illinois HB2897 passed the state House on April 9.

The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. Mary E. Flowers (D-31) on Feb. 14, will amend “the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois,” according to the General Assembly website.

The measure now must be considered by the Senate.
