CALL TO ORDER:
Meeting was called to order at 3:40 P.M. In attendance were President Debbie Herbert, Vice-President Anna Jesse, Secretary Tami Long; Trustees Donna Hayes, Linda Wiles, Salli Pritts; Librarians Vicki Carr, Lori Nixon. Secretary Susan Strahle absent.

Complete Annual Review of Standards for Illinois Public Libraries. Per Capita Grant 2024

UNFINISHED/ONGOING:
ALA Grant-Libraries Transforming Communities update: Diabetes Self-Management Program begins February 8 and will be held on 6 consecutive weeks at the library 1-3:30 pm. This program is sponsored by the ALA Grant in partnership with the Macon County Health Dept, Starting Point.
NEW:
-Illinois Humanities Grant awarded to SMPL on November 20 with $10,000 deposited into our account on December 15. This grant is for a Community Engagement Coordinator and we hired Dena Wurster.
-Dena Wurster met the Board and discussed plans for IL Humanities Grant
-Reviewed updated Timeline & Presentation Schedule Policy
-We participated in the Scholastic Library Program and were able to give away 57 free books
-The Library, City of Macon and Macon Fire Dept hosted Grinchmas where we had our Christmas tree lighting, crafts, story time with 150+ community members attending
-The Library and Macon Fire Dept held our annual toy drive with a large amount of toys donated

The next meeting will be held February 13 at 3:30 P.M.
