State Representative Regan Deering has expressed her support for the recent announcements from the Office of the State Fire Marshal. The announcement pertains to the awardees of the Small Equipment Grant, facilitating the purchase of essential small tools and equipment such as turnout gear and SCBA systems for fire departments, fire protection districts, and not-for-profit ambulance services across Illinois.

In the 88th District, the recipients include the Long Creek, Bellflower, Cisco, Hammond, and Bement Fire Protection Districts, along with the Monticello Fire and Rescue Department.

“I am thrilled that fire protection districts in the 88th District are recipients of OSFM’s Small Equipment Grant,” stated Rep. Deering. “This grant is well deserved and will help to cover the cost of small equipment that is needed to fulfill everyday tasks for fire departments, districts, and EMS services.”
