Q2 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in De Witt County?

There were eight offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2020 that live in De Witt County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Macon Reporter.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in De Witt County were men. The median age of the parolees was 42. The youngest parolee was a 34-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 52-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Chad E. Sexton. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2017 when he was 40 years old. He is now 44.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2020 in each De Witt County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
