The Illinois State Police suffered two Move Over Law-related crashes this week. In 2024, ISP has already suffered 14 Move Over Law-related crashes with six troopers injured. The state's Move Over Law, also known as “Scott’s Law,” requires all drivers to SLOW DOWN and MOVE OVER when approaching an emergency vehicle, or any vehicle with its emergency or hazard lights activated.This law is crucial for the safety of first responders, road workers, and motorists on the road.
