1. Call to Order

7. Librarian’s report:

- Presented by: Michelle Nolen (Library Director)

Discussions:

● Closed 7/4, but not 7/3

● NLM Display arrived today (received ours today, which is on Mental Health)

● Staff Training–discuss having a staff training day where the library is shut down and all staff is trained at the same time, along with some team building.

● Reader’s Bridge $2,667 with a deposit shortly from the Effingham Rotary ($2000) and an $825 deposit Monday

● Summer Reading has 100 public students registered along with 96 kids in daycare or summer programs. No numbers for Park Rec yet.

● Flower Bells are in and will be placed outside, along with a giant chess set

● Large Book Sale Next Week

● Kailee French Volunteers twice a week for 4 total hours, discussion regarding paying her for the hours she works. (no more than $2704) We will likely discuss and vote on offering her a paid position next month.

● IPLar is completed-went over the full report and signed to submit.

● Cardinals Baseball Tickets, 23 of the 25 patrons who were given tickets attended the game

8. Old business:

- Roof: Our recommended bid to the city council was for Industrial Services, but Central Roofing came in with a new bid after they viewed the presentation to the City Council on June 12 seeing our recommended bid. The Council approved Central Roofing’s new bid, with an extended warranty for about $1200 more than their original bid included, instead of our recommended bid. Central Roofing should be starting somewhere around the third week of July.
