Hickory Point Fire Protection District responded to 71 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the Macon Reporter.

The calls in Hickory Point included 20 fires - eight structure fires, one vehicle fire and 11 other fires.

In all, the department saw $2,100 in fire loss - or about $105 per fire.

The department also received 51 false calls.
