How much has Sullivan CUSD 300 overspent over the past 10 years?

Sullivan Community Unit School District 300 accumulated $4.94 million in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Sullivan CUSD 300 reported 5.5 percent more revenue. At the same time, total spending went up 39.9 percent.
