Report: Clinton spent $10,656 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Clinton Community Unit School District 15 is up 11.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dewitt County school district spent $9,569 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,656 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1975 to 1870.

Clinton's spending in 2017-18 was 20.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
