Report: Sullivan spent $8,173 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Sullivan Community Unit School District 300 is down 6.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Moultrie County school district spent $8,767 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,173 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1173 to 1175.

Sullivan's spending in 2017-18 was 38.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
