Forsyth home prices rise in March 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2017 in Forsyth rose by $129,500 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2017, there were nine homes sold, with a median sale price of $286,000 - a 82.7% increase over the $156,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Forsyth in March 2016.

The median sales tax in Forsyth for 2017 was $4,781. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,805. This marks an decrease of 0.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
