Decatur home prices rise in September 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2017 in Decatur rose by $2,150 while total sales decreased by 39.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2017, there were 66 homes sold, with a median sale price of $68,150 - a 3.3% increase over the $66,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 109 homes sold in Decatur in September 2016.

The median sales tax in Decatur for 2017 was $1,336. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,351. This marks an decrease of 1.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
