2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Moultrie County?

There were 11 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Moultrie County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Macon Reporter.

The data shows that 10 men and one women were released in Moultrie County. Of the parolees, one was a veteran, and the median age was 37. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old woman convicted of a crime against a person in 2018, and the oldest was a 48-year-old man convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2014.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Brian D. Edwards. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2014 when he was 43 years old. He is now 48.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
