Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Moultrie County?

There were four offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Moultrie County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Macon Reporter.

The data shows that three men and one woman were released in Moultrie County. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old woman sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018, and the oldest was a 48-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2015.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Benjamin F. Hillsman. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015 when he was 35 years old. He is now 39.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
