Forsyth home prices rise in December 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2017 in Forsyth rose by $23,000 while total sales increased by 66.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $265,000 - a 9.5% increase over the $242,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Forsyth in December 2016.

The median sales tax in Forsyth for 2017 was $4,781. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,805. This marks an decrease of 0.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
