City of Sullivan City Council met Aug. 29.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

1 The City Council of the City of Sullivan, Illinois, met in special session on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at 7 00 p. m. at the Elizabeth Titus Memorial Library, 2 West Water Street, Sullivan. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Glazebrook. A roll call was taken.

Commissioner Abbey Sherwood present

Commissioner Mike Fowler present

Commissioner Chuck Woodworth present

Commissioner Peggy Hargis present

Mayor Richard Glazebrook present

2. Mayor Glazebrook asked if there were any comments from the public Questions were what is going to be discussed at this meeting, if the property is going to be purchased, what are the plans for its use, has the property been appraised, what is the City willing to spend on the property and is the trustee aware of the City' s intent to purchase Mayor Glazebrook responded the meeting is regarding the purchase of the Titus Home, through the trustee, by private sale for the appraisal price of$ 210, 000

3 Mayor Glazebrook made a motion that the City of Sullivan purchase the real estate located at 513 N Worth St, Sullivan, Illinois at private sale from the TitusSentel Testamentary Trust as authorized by the last will and testament of Winifred TitusSentel. The purchase price shall be the appraisal amount of$210, 000 00 and I further move Mayor Glazebrook be authorized to execute a standard purchase agreement with the Busey Bank of Decatur in its capacity as trustee of the Titus-Sentel Trust. Commissioner Fowler seconded the motion. There was no discussion. Upon a roll call being taken, the results were as follows

and the motion was carried.

4 Commissioner Sherwood made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion received a second from Commissioner Woodworth. Upon roll call being taken, the results were as follows

and the motion was declared carried and the meeting was adjourned at 6 08p.m.
