Macon home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Macon fell by $2,500 while total sales increased by 114.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 15 homes sold, with a median sale price of $57,500 - a 4.2% decrease over the $60,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Macon in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Macon for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,771, approximately 3.1% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2019.
