Kenney Fire Protection District responded to 26 calls in 2018 - 38.1 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Kenney included 22 fires - 16 structure fires, two vehicle fires and four other fires.

In all, the department saw $30,000 in fire loss - or about $1,364 per fire.

The department also received four false calls, including one malicious call and three other false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian non-fire injury and one civilian non-fire death.

The Kenney Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $96,005 in 2018.
