Public - no public was in attendance to address the Board.

Greg Gustafson came to discuss the water system improvements. The Utilities Committee and Mr. Gustafson met to decide what needs to be done with our current water system. Mr. Gustafson presented & explained a handout of a preliminary listing of improvements and cost estimates. Trustee Russell explained the thought process of the Committee; to list the projects they along with Village Manager, Shannon Risley, believed to be the most important.

The interest rate for a 40 year loan is now 1.125%. Putting the cost of this loan payment into the base rate on water & sewer is being looked at. Mr. Gustafson believes we are in line to get a more than 50% grant from the Rural Development Water & Waste Disposal Loans & Grants. BC&A would need to provide the preliminary engineering report to us and the Rural Water Development. The next step would be for the Village to formally accept this project and give consent to begin the Preliminary Engineering Report.

This is on the agenda for tomorrow’s regular board meeting.

With no other business to discuss a motion to adjourn was made by Trustee Ruppert, seconded by Trustee Russell. Voice vote taken, all ayes, meeting adjourned.
