Decatur home prices rose in the second quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in Decatur rose by $4,000 while total sales increased by 41.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were 421 homes sold, with a median sale price of $79,000 - a 5.3% increase over the $75,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 298 homes sold in Decatur in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Decatur for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,336, approximately 1.7% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
