Decatur home prices unchanged in the second half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2021 in Decatur was unchanged while total sales decreased by 21.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2021, there were 576 homes sold, with a median sale price of $75,000. There were 731 homes sold in Decatur in the second half of 2020, and the median sales price for the period was also $75,000.

The median sales tax in Decatur for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,336, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2021.
