Illinois State Rep. Dan Caulkins recently commended the work of state senator and gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey.
"I'm so proud of my friend Darren Bailey for Governor and the work that he is doing to #FirePritzker and #RestoreIllinois!" Caulkins wrote in a June 15 Facebook post. "It's amazing what we can do when we take our conservative message and values straight to the people of Illinois!"
In his post, Caulkins shared a Facebook post announcing Bailey's campaign tour announcement.
"Who’s ready to shake up Illinois politics?" Baily wrote in his Facebook post. "We continue to take our conservative message directly to the people. We will be launching our final bus tour of the primary this Sunday in Effingham. Please join us at our Bus Tour Kickoff and Rally. We will be stopping in all 102 counties in 14 days. Please join us, and let’s send a message to the political elites and the establishment that we are ready to reform Springfield and restore Illinois."
According to East Central Reporter, on May 29, Bailey announced via Facebook post that he was recruiting people to serve as part of an election integrity task force.
"Friends, it's important that we ensure election integrity. The best way we can do that is having trained poll watchers," Bailey wrote in his Facebook post. "Please sign up to join our Election Integrity Task Force. We have some great volunteers who will train you and ensure you can be successful in helping secure our elections."
Metro East Sun reports that Bailey criticized a public library for including a "storytime" event in which volunteer drag queen Chasity Valentino reads to children as part of its summer slate.
"The Collinsville Library officials and board members supporting this propagandizing are active participants in child abuse,” Bailey said. “They should be removed and the process that led to taxpayer money being used to sexualize children should be investigated. Public libraries are taxpayer funded institutions intended to broadly share ideas and knowledge; they aren't mechanisms for Marxist activists to sexualize kids, push pornography and depravity on kindergartners. Seven- and eight-year-olds don't care about politics and they don't think about sex. Only people who have never had a child could believe otherwise. As governor, I will bar state funding to libraries hosting 'drag queen' anything and pushing political propaganda to children.”
