Women's Volleyball Completes Fourth Straight Sweep with Win over Illinois College

The Big Blue women's volleyball team traveled to St. Louis, Mo. for the WashU Invite on Friday, October 7. Millikin defeated Illinois College in straight sets (25-23, 25-23, 25-16), marking their fourth straight non-conference sweep.

The Big Blue were led by Tori Stuart at the net with 17 kills. Kailee Itzenhuiser added 12 kills, three blocks, and nine digs. Kaitlyn Skowronski served up three service aces. Jessi Kreder and Sophia Gibbs each tallied three blocks. Olivia Grbavac led the way in assists with 20, and Sophia Howell notched 21 digs in the match. The Big Blue outkilled the Lady Blues 49-28 for an attacking percentage of .215.

Illinois College was led by Paige Knuffman with nine kills.

Millikin will match up against the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in an early morning matchup before meeting the host Bears of WashU, who are currently ranked fifth in the AVCA poll.
