The Millikin women's basketball team started the 2022-23 season with a dominating win at Beloit College 91-51 in Beloit, Wisconsin on November 8.
Millikin lead 31-15 after the first quarter and 50-21 at the half. The Big Blue outscored the Buccaneers 29-8 in the third quarter. The Big Blue shot 51 percent (33-65) from the field and went 12-28 (43 percent) from three-point range. Millikin shot 63 percent from the field in the first quarter and 75 percent (9-12) in the third quarter. The Big Blue made 5-6 from three-point range in the third quarter. Beloit was held to 29 percent shooting from the field (19-65). Millikin won the rebounding battle 45-32.
Elyce Knudsen led Millikin with 23 points. Sophomore transfer Sarah Isaf made a strong Millikin debut scoring 20 points making 5-6 from three-point range. Eleven players scored for the Big Blue. Freshman Alana Terry scored 11 points in her collegiate debut. Sarah Ness added eight points and Emily White chipped in six. Miranda Fox had a team high seven assists along with three points and three rebounds. Abby Ratsch made her return after missing most of last season with a knee injury scoring five points with five rebounds and four assists.
Elizabeth Kalk scored 19 points to led Beloit.
