With the primary election 76 days away, Regan Deering, a candidate for the 88th House District, utilized Facebook to channel the spirit of America's founding fathers and highlight the importance of preserving freedoms established during the nation's inception. In a fervent statement, she underscored the pivotal nature of the forthcoming election and committed to spearheading a "good vs. evil" battle to safeguard the state's future and its residents.

“Today marks 76 days until the primary election,” Deering said on Facebook. “Makes me think of 1776-the founding of our great nation.”

She conveyed a pledge to safeguard the Republic, a devotion to serving and leading the people in “a battle of good vs. evil,” and humbly sought support in her political race.

“I’ll defend our Republic,” Deering added on her Facebook post.

“It would be my honor to serve as a State Representative. I am asking for your support.”

Deering linked to a statement on her campaign website echoing the sentiments of many constituents who share her concerns about the state’s future.

“Like you, I am fed up with the corrupt political class that governs Illinois. And, like you, I will not sit by and let them destroy our great state,” she said.

On her campaign website, Deering echoed many constituents' sentiments regarding concerns about Illinois' future.

“Like you, I am fed up with the corrupt political class that governs Illinois. And, like you, I will not sit by and let them destroy our great state,” she stated.

Deering is seeking to succeed State Rep. Dan Caulkins and has identified several pressing issues facing Illinois that have prompted her candidacy. These issues particularly emphasize families' and children's impact in Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s Illinois; high taxes, difficulties in securing quality education, and communities grappling with violence are among the key issues she highlights.

"Families here pay some of the highest taxes in the nation," Deering asserted on her website. "They struggle to find quality education for their children and live in communities plagued by violence."

The conservative Republican candidate criticizes what she perceives as extreme Democrats imposing "radical values" on households and schools. She accuses them of persistently attacking cherished freedoms and undermining the state's jobs and economy.

"Many families see this and, understandably, run away," Deering, a former congressional candidate and current Mount Zion school board member, stated on her campaign website. "They flee Illinois for states where they can pursue the American dream, live their values, and create a better life for their kids,"
