Former Meridian High School player and current Case Western Reserve Spartans infielder, Thomas Downs, will compete in the NCAA D3 Baseball Championship Tournament.

They begin the tournament as a number one seed against the fourth seeded Alvernia Golden Wolves.

The first game is on Friday, May 17.
