FOIA Request to Farmer City City Council Regarding Council Members' Details on October 15, 2024.
We at Macon Reporter, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, have sent a request under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140. The request was made for a list of all council members from the Farmer City City Council with specific details.
The information sought includes each council member's name, title, year of appointment, term length (2 or 4 years), and term expiry date. This information is requested preferably in an electronic format.
As a media organization, we are involved in gathering and reporting news to the public. Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities.
