Maroa Forsyth Community Unit School District 2 Board of Education met Nov. 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. Call to Order- 6:30pm

Pledge of Allegiance- No Motion

GS Student Council members Caden Gruenwald & Magdalein Anison led the Pledge of Allegiance

2. Roll Call - Present - Wise, Crawford, Conway, Parker, Feinstein, Zuniga, Lidy

3. Good News- No Motion

a. Lexie and Katie Nilles, Girls tennis doubles accomplishments, team won Sectionals

b. Klaire Eighner, Girls Cross-Country competed and finished 13th in State, broke PR

4. Guests and Visitors- No Motion

5. Consent Agenda - Motion by Crawford and seconded by Lidy to approve the consent agenda as presented. Vote 7-0 in favor

6. New Business

a. School Report Card Data presentations by building Principals: M-F was the only school in the area with 2 exemplary grades!

b. Press Issue 114 policies 6:30, 5:20, 7:10, 7:180, 5:10 - Action

Motion by Zuniga, seconded by Conway to approve Press Issue 114 policies 6:30, 5:20, 7:10, 7:180, 5:10

Roll Call Vote - Motion Carried 6 in favor.

c. Approve Press Issue 116 policies 2:260, 2:265, 2:265AP1, AP2, 5:100 and 7:185-Action

Motion by Conway, seconded by Zuniga to approve Press Issue 116 policies 2:260, 2:265, 2:265AP1, AP2, 5:100 and 7:185-Action.

d. Approve the ISBE school maintenance grant as presented - Action

Motion by Wise, seconded by Feinstein to approve school maintenance grant as presented Voice Vote: Motion Carried

e. Tentative Levy presentation - No Action

f. Proposal to infrared scan the district roofs for $9000 - Action

Motion by Lidy, seconded by Parker to approve Tremco roofing to conduct an infrared scan of the district roofs for up to $9000.00

Roll Call Vote - Motion Carried 7-0

g. Professional Service Agreement for Transportation Audit: Informational

h. Resolution to abate tax from the Forsyth sales tax

Motion by Feinstein seconded by Crawford to approve Resolution to abate tax from the Forsyth sales tax.

Roll Call Vote - Motion carried 7-0

c. IASB Liaison Report - Jill Feinstein - No Motion

8. Executive Session

Motion by Lidy seconded by Parker to enter into closed session at 8:11pm, for the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, or performance of specific employees of the public body, section 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1)

Roll Call Vote - Motion Carried 7-0

Motion by Crawford seconded by Zuniga to exit closed session at 9:02pm. Vote 7-0 in favor.

9. Action after Executive Session

a. Motion by Zuniga, seconded by Parker to approve the option for a night shift pay differential for custodians at the discretion of the superintendent. Roll Call Vote 7-0 - Motion passed.

10. Adjournment - Motion by Lidy and seconded by Feinstein to adjourn at 9:03pm. All in Favor. Motion Carried
