Analysis: Clinton pays $6.18 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Clinton Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 86.1 percent of the $112,514 the Clinton Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $6.18 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Clinton contributed $96,859 to the fund, which saw a $6,278 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $15,655, or 13.9 percent, in 2016.
