Cost of college went up for all students at Millikin University

Tuition and fees rose 3.9 percent for 2017-18 at Millikin University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $33,066 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $1,242 more than the $31,824 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 419 students received grants or scholarships totaling $8.92 million and 326 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.54 million.

Including all undergraduates, 1,926 students used grants or scholarships totaling $36.59 million. Another 1,489 took out $11.21 million in federal student loans.
