Maroa Countryside Fire Protection District responded to 106 calls in 2017 - same as the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Maroa Countryside included 57 fires - 46 structure fires, three vehicle fires and eight other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $14,000 in fire loss - or about $246 per fire.

The department also received 48 false calls.

The Maroa Countryside Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $240,906 in 2017.
