65 percent of applicants to Millikin University were admitted for fall 2017

At Millikin University, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Decatur enrolled 2,040 students in fall 2017, including 1,950 in undergraduate and 90 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

81 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 18 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (69 percent) and Black or African American (15 percent).

The school admitted 65 percent of the 3,431 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 21 percent enrolled.
