City of Clinton Council met Dec. 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Clinton, Illinois in session in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Monday, December 17, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Roger Cyrulik, presiding. On roll call, Commissioners Wise, Ballenger and Edmunds were present. Commissioner Crang was absent.

Written motion was made by Commissioner Ballenger and seconded by Commissioner Wise that the Public Hearing Annual Levy minutes and the regular meeting minutes of December 3, 2018 be approved as submitted. On roll call vote, Commissioners Ballenger, Edmunds, Wise and Mayor Cyrulik voted “Yes”.

The bills and payroll were read.

Written motion was made by Commissioner Edmunds and seconded by Commissioner Ballenger that the bills and payroll be allowed as read and the Clerk be instructed to issue warrants on the Treasurer for the several amounts. On roll call vote, Commissioners Edmunds, Wise, Ballenger and Mayor Cyrulik voted “Yes”.

PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS

None

REPORT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Mayor Cyrulik reported that he received notice that Darrell Tucker, Commander with the Am Vets was recognized at Navy Pier in Chicago for his elite service and the Governor did a Proclamation.

REPORT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF STREETS & PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS

Commissioner Crang was absent.

REPORT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC PROPERTY

Commissioner Wise reported that the meter replacement project is going well.

REPORT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY

Commissioner Ballenger reported that the past two weekends the Police Dept. and Fire Dept. have done Movie with a Cop and Movie with a Fireman with a huge turnout.

REPORT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTS & FINANCES

Commissioner Edmunds reported the Sales Tax declined $3,820 but still ahead YTD.

NEW BUSINESS

Written motion was made by Commissioner Ballenger and seconded by Commissioner Edmunds to approve the Purchase of a Supply Hose for the Fire Dept. from AEC in the amount of $5,868.00. On roll call vote, Commissioners Wise, Ballenger, Edmunds andMayor Cyrulik voted “Yes”.

ADJOURNMENT

With no further business to come before the Council, a motion was made by Commissioner Ballenger and seconded by Commissioner Wise to adjourn the meeting. On roll call vote, Commissioners Ballenger, Edmunds, Wise and Mayor Cyrulik voted“Yes”.
