Report: Blue Ridge spent $12,765 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Blue Ridge Community Unified School District 18 is up 15.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dewitt County school district spent $11,070 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,765 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 812 to 745.

Blue Ridge's spending in 2017-18 was 4.3 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
