Analysis: Blue Ridge administrators rank 589th in state for average pay

Administrators in Blue Ridge Community Unified School District 18 earn an average of $90,615 per year, ranking 589th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 2.4% higher than in 2014 and 13% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 15.5% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Dewitt County school district enrolled 745 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 149 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
