Clinton Community Unit School District 15 Board met March 19.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Upon roll call the following members were present:

Mrs. Sondra Baker

Mr. John Blythe

Mr. Chris Hammer

Mr. Dan Matthews

Mr. Rodney Rogers

Absent:

Mr. Ron Conner

Mr. Cole Ritter

Administrators present were:

Mr. Curt Nettles, Superintendent of Schools

Mr. Drew Goebel, Director of Business and Support Staff Services

Mr. Josh Maxwell, Junior High School Principal

Mr. Jim Peck, Junior High School Assistant Principal

Mrs. Sacha Young, Clinton Elementary School Principal

Mr. Ben Mooney, Clinton Elementary School Assistant Principal

Mrs. Beth Wickenhauser, Douglas/Lincoln School Principal

Others present were:

There were no guests, visitors or public participation.

Plaque presentation to John Blythe for service to the School Board. Mr. Maxwell explained about the CJHS STEM class for fall of 2019.

It was moved by Baker, seconded by Hammer, to approve the consent CONSENT AGENDA agenda which includes:

A. Approve the minutes of the February 19 regular meeting open and closed sessions and the minutes of the special meeting on February 27 open and closed sessions.

B. Financial Information – Imprest Fund, Petty Cash Report, Treasurer’s Report, Investment Summary, Insurance Pool Report, Transportation Report, Activity Fund Report, Cafeteria Report and Bills.

C. Approve Eric Douglas as JV baseball coach effective immediately.

D. Approve Rachel Woods as first grade teacher at Douglas for 2019-20.

E. Accept the resignation/retirement of Kelly Pine as district bookkeeper effective June 30, 2019.

F. Accept the resignation of Brock Weigelmann as CHS business teacher and asst. football coach effective at the end of the school year.

G. Accept the resignation of David Mathis as bus driver effective March 1, 2019.

H. Accept the resignation of Jennifer Gaff as CHS M-Squad coach effective March 15, 2019.

I. Accept the resignation of Amelia Rosenberg as CHS special education teacher effective at the end of the school year.

J. Accept the resignation of Sarah Benner CES special education teacher effective at the end of the school year.

K. Accept the resignation of Sarah Telford-Anderson as CES 5th grade teacher effective at the end of the school year.

L. Approve the employment of Tracer Mills as CHS math teacher for 2019-20.

The President put the motion to a vote and the following roll call was taken:

Hammer, yea

Matthews, yea

Rogers, yea

Baker, yea

Blythe, yea

Motion carried.

Board policies were presented for their first reading.

It was moved by Baker, seconded by Rogers, to approve the Negotiated agreement with for 2019/20 through 2021/22. The President put the motion to a vote and the following roll call was taken:

Hammer, yea

Matthews, yea

Rogers, yea

Baker, yea

Blythe, yea

Motion carried.

It was moved by Hammer, seconded by Rogers, to enter into closed session for the purpose of discussing the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees of the school district. 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1). The President put the motion to a vote and the following roll call was taken:

Matthew, yea

Rogers, yea

Baker, yea

Blythe, yea

Hammer, yea

Motion carried.

The Board entered into closed session at 6:59pm and returned at 8:12pm.

It was moved by Matthews, seconded by Hammer, to close the closed session. The President put the motion to a vote and the following roll call was taken:

Rogers, yea

Baker, yea

Blythe, yea

Hammer, yea

Matthews, yea

Motion carried.

It was moved by Matthews, seconded by Hammer, and duly voted by acclamation to adjourn at 8:13pm.
