Decatur home prices fall in January 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2018 in Decatur fell by $12,500 while total sales increased by 6.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2018, there were 65 homes sold, with a median sale price of $53,000 - a 19.1% decrease over the $65,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 61 homes sold in Decatur in January 2017.

The median sales tax in Decatur for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,336, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for January 2018.
