Argenta-Oreana Community Unit School District 1 Board of Education met April 29.

The Board of Education of Community Unit School District Number 1, Macon and DeWitt Counties, Illinois, (Argenta-Oreana Community Unit School District No. 1) convened on April 29, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Argenta-Oreana Middle School/High School Library at 500 North Main Street, Argenta, Illinois pursuant to notice of special meeting having been given in due form of law Todd Armstrong, President, in the Chair, and with a legal quorum as follows: Todd Armstrong, Summer Boyd, Lori Sprague, Maria Lightner, Dick Logue, Jeff Schroetlin, and Rory Tipsword. Also present: Damian Jones, Superintendent

Dick Logue/Lori Sprague, second, made a motion to adopt the canvassed election results as presented. The roll vote: Todd Armstrong-yes; Summer Boyd-yes; Lori Sprague-yes; Maria Lightner-yes; Dick Logue-yes; Jeff Schroetlin- yes; and Rory Tipsword-yes.

Proclamation of election winners Mr. Todd Armstrong, Mr. Rory Tipsword, Mrs. Maria Lightner, and Mr. Jeff Schroetlin occurred.

Lori Sprague/Summer Boyd, second, made a motion to adjourn Sine Die at 6:02 p.m. The roll vote: Todd Armstrong-yes; Summer Boyd-yes; Jeff Schroetlin-yes; Maria Lightner-yes; Dick Logue-yes; Dan Miller-yes; and Rory Tipsword-yes.

Superintendent Mr. Damian Jones was appointed President Pro-Tem.

The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Todd Armstrong, Summer Boyd, Maria Lightner, Dick Logue, Lori Sprague, Rory Tipsword and Jeff Schroetlin.

The Oath of Office was administered to Mrs. Maria Lightner, Mr. Todd Armstrong, Mr. Rory Tipsword, and Mr. Jeff Schroetlin.

Lori Sprague/Dick Logue, second, made a motion to set the length of office for board officers at two years. The roll vote: Todd Armstrong-yes; Summer Boyd-yes; Maria Lightner-yes; Dick Logue-yes; Jeff Schroetlin-yes; and Lori Sprague-yes; Rory Tipsword-yes.

Dick Logue/Lori Sprague, second, made a motion to elect Todd Armstrong as board President. The roll vote: Todd Armstrong-abstain; Summer Boyd-yes; Dick Logue-yes; Maria Lightner-yes; Rory Tipsword-yes; Jeff Schroetlin- yes; and Lori Sprague-yes.

Maria Lightner/Lori Sprague, second, made a motion to elect Summer Boyd as board Vice-President. The roll vote: Summer Boyd-abstain; Dick Logue-yes; Maria Lightner-yes; Rory Tipsword-yes; Jeff Schroetlin-yes; Lori Sprague-yes and Todd Armstrong-yes.

Lori Sprague/Rory Tipsword, second, made a motion to elect Maria Lightner as board Secretary. The roll vote: Summer Boyd-yes; Dick Logue-yes; Maria Lightner-abstain; Rory Tipsword-yes; Jeff Schroetlin-yes; Lori Sprague-yes and Todd Armstrong-yes.

Maria Lightner/Lori Sprague, second, made a motion to appoint Shirley Wallace as board Treasurer. The roll vote: Summer Boyd-yes; Dick Logue-yes; Maria Lightner-yes; Rory Tipsword-yes; Jeff Schroetlin-yes; Lori Sprague-yes and Todd Armstrong-yes.

Rory Tipsword/Maria Lightner, second, made a motion to set the schedule of the regular meetings of the board of education at 6:00 p.m. on the second Monday of the month in the MS/HS library. The roll vote: Summer Boyd-yes; Dick Logue-yes; Maria Lightner-yes; Rory Tipsword-yes; Jeff Schroetling-yes; Lori Sprague-yes and Todd Armstrong-yes.

Rory Tipsword/Maria Lightner, second, made a motion to adjourn at 6:12 p.m. The roll vote: Summer Boyd-yes; Rory Tipsword-yes; Dick Logue-yes; Maria Lightner-yes; Jeff Schroetlin-yes; Lori Sprague-yes and Todd Armstrong-yes.
