6. Department Reports

A) Streets - Trustee Huff reported to the board that everything is running well. Waiting on water meters.

B) Health and Safety - President Atwood reported to the board that he would like to get the CC roof fixed this year. CC passed health inspection.

C) Water - Trustee Falk reported that everything is running smoothly. Billing for March looked good. Waiting for meter installation.

D) Zoning - One permit

E) Finance - No report.

F) Water Operator - No report.

G) Village Clerk - The weekend of March 1st, $300 cash was missing from the Village Hall. When I returned from an out-of-State trip on March 3rd and discovered the missing money, I called the Dewitt County Sheriff's Office and Village Attorney, Steve Mahrt. I filed a police report and upon further inspection, at least an additional $140 is currently unaccounted for, and a fireproof safe. I have since spoken to the detective on several different occasions regarding this matter and (as far as I know), the investigation is still currently ongoing. In addition, there is at least one customer check unaccounted for as well.

The water bills were not sent out last month in the way that they were received by customers. The toner was literally wiping right off of the bills. They were reprinted, but the ink only got worse. This month, there was a new toner cartridge and there didn't appear to be any issues with the printing. The water bills have been sent out. If there was a late fee due to the bills being unreadable, it was (or will be) removed.

H) FOIA Officer - No report.

7. PUBLIC COMMENT - All comments were addressed.

A. Mary Rita Powers Memorial Money - Landscaping at the park

B. Discussion to get bids for a new roof at the Wapella Community Center
