Macon home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Macon rose by $46,600 while total sales increased by 133.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $103,100 - a 82.5% increase over the $56,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Macon in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Macon for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,771, approximately 1.7% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
