Harristown home prices fall in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Harristown fell by $19,000 while total sales decreased by 28%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 18 homes sold, with a median sale price of $83,500 - a 18.5% decrease over the $102,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 25 homes sold in Harristown in 2016.

The median sales tax in Harristown for 2017 was $1,849. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,832. This marks an increase of 0.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
