Mount Zion home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Mount Zion rose by $400 while total sales decreased by 5.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 101 homes sold, with a median sale price of $137,900 - a 0.3% increase over the $137,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 107 homes sold in Mount Zion in 2016.

The median sales tax in Mount Zion for 2017 was $3,068. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,023. This marks an increase of 1.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
