Warrensburg-Latham Community Unit School District 11 Board of Education met Aug. 28.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Executive Session-6:30 p.m.

Executive Session on the following subjects: a) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the School District; b) collective negotiating matters between the School District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees; c) student disciplinary cases; d) pending or threatened litigations;e) approval of certain closed session minutes for distribution to the public; f) or other matters appropriate for a closed session meeting pursuant to the Open Meetings Act.

Vice-President, Staci Bogue-Buchholz, called the regular meeting of the board of education to order at 6:27 p.m.

Members present by roll call vote were: Staci Bogue-Buchholz, Colleen Dickerson, Robert Fowler, Clay Sellmeyer and Nathan Wentworth.

Absent: Greg Henne and David Munson.

A motion was made by Mrs. Colleen Dickerson and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to adjourn to closed meeting at 6:29 p.m. to discuss: a) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the School District; b) collective negotiating matters between the School District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees; c) student disciplinary cases; d) pending or threatened litigations;e) approval of certain closed session minutes for distribution to the public; f) or other matters appropriate for a closed session meeting pursuant to the Open Meetings Act. The following members voted aye: Staci Bogue-Buchholz, Colleen Dickerson, Robert Fowler, Clay Sellmeyer and Nathan Wentworth.

Vice-President, Staci Bogue-Buchholz, called the regular meeting to return to order at 6:35 p.m.

The administration present consisted of: Jonathan Downing, Paul Hoffman, Laura Anderson and Craig Olson.

Others present consisted of Recording Secretary, Teresa Bailey.

Vice- President, Staci Bogue-Buchholz, asked if there were any visitors that would like to address the board at which time there were none.

A motion was made by Mr. Robert Fowler and seconded by Mr. Nathan Wentworth to approve the consent agenda containing approval of monthly financial reports, minutes, approval of executive session meeting minutes, and destruction of recordings as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Colleen Dickerson and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the bills for payment for August 2019 as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Dr. Kristen Kendrick-Weikle presented information regarding Monthly Financial Updates.

Mr. Keith Hackl presented information regarding Summer Maintenance Overview.

Dr. Kristen Kendrick-Weikle presented information regarding Superintendent’s Evaluation Tool.

Mrs. Teresa Bailey presented information regarding Preliminary FY20 Budget.

A motion was made by Mr. Robert Fowler and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the personnel addendum as presented and pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Nathan Wentworth and seconded by Mrs. Colleen Dickerson to reaffirm that Il Rte 121 is a safety hazard for children walking to school and therefore requires bus transportation for students on the east side of the highway. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Various informational items were discussed.

A motion was made by Mr. Nathan Wentwort and seconded by Mr. Robert Fowler to adjourn the August 28, 2019 regular meeting of the Warrensburg-Latham CUSD #11 Board of Education at 7:23 p.m. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
