Analysis: Clinton pays $2.75 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Clinton Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73.3 percent of the $270,260 the Clinton Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.75 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Clinton contributed $198,198 to the fund, which saw a $9,178 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $71,832, or 26.6 percent, in 2018. Another $230 came from other unspecified sources.
