Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Macon County?

There were 79 offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in Macon County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Macon Reporter.

The data shows that 69 men and 10 women were released in Macon County. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest was a 73-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Gary Clark. He was convicted of homicide in 1985 when he was 15 years old. He is now 50.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter of 2019 in each Macon County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
