Cost of college went up for all students at Millikin University

Tuition and fees rose 5.9 percent for 2018-19 at Millikin University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $35,002 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,936 more than the $33,066 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 474 students received grants or scholarships totaling $11.7 million and 355 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.9 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,094), 1,865 students used grants or scholarships totaling $39.9 million, and 1,423 students took out $11.2 million in federal student loans.
