Walker Funeral Service And Chapel - Decatur recently issued the following announcement.

Cheryl Denise Jackson, 59, of Peoria, Illinois departed this life on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Unity Point Health Methodist Hospital, Peoria.

Cheryl was born on December 15, 1960 in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of Mattie Dunlap and Eddie Walton.

She was educated in the Peoria School Systems and worked at Heddington Oaks as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and, District 150 as a Cafeteria worker.

Cheryl was baptized in Jesus’ Name and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 25 (Acts:2:38) and loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. She loved to study the bible and to sing melodies.

Cheryl’s presence here on earth will be truly miss but her memories will be forever cherished in the hearts of her mother, Mattie Dunlap of Peoria; sisters: Phyliss (Rodney) Farlow, Pamela Jackson both of Peoria, Joyce Jackson of Milwaukee, WI; Annia Walton ; three brothes, Rev. John Michael Walton , Edward Walton of Peoria; and Clarence Walton of Lancaster SC; special niece, whom she raised, Unisha Jackson along with her paternal siblings and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; and two brothers, Jazz B. Jackson, Melvin Lee Walton; a sister Wanda Jackson.
